Linn was born September 18, 1935 on the family farm in East Oxford Twp in Oxford County, Ontario to Winsor and Bernice Johnstone.
He passed away on October 22, 2022 after a lengthy illness at the Hamlets in Vernon, B.C.
Linn spent his formative years growing up in Ingersoll Ontario. After graduation he worked for the local Cooperative in what would become a lifelong love for agriculture and farming. His career included working many years for Ralston Purina as marketing manager where he travelled around the globe.
Linn married Marla (Benjamin) and together they raised 5 children: Gregory, Michael, Scott, twins Karen & Kelly.
After his first marriage ended Linn decided to move to B.C. He met his 2nd wife Gwen and together they dairy farmed in the Armstrong area for over 20 years. His work with Buckerfields and United Grain Growers in sales saw him travel all over B.C. and Washington State.
Linn was an avid golfer and small aircraft pilot. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner.
Linn leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Gwen, son Scott (Isobel), Karen (Jim) Marr & Kelly (Ken) Isaacson. Grandchildren David (Debbie), Jennifer, Chloe & Tori & great granddaughter Grace.
He was predeceased by sons Michael & Gregory, sisters Lila & Myrtle, and brothers Roy, Kenneth and twin brother Lloyd.
A celebration of life will be held in the chapel on Saturday, November 05, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services in Armstrong. Cremation. Internment in Armstrong Cemetery.
