Linda was born in Norris Arm NL, and lived there with her seven siblings and Father & Mother. Sadly Linda lost her Mother at the young age of 8 years old. Despite or maybe because of this devastating loss, Linda grew up to be a soft hearted, kind and compassionate woman.
Linda was a hard worker who left home at the age of 16 to start her first job as a cleaner/waitress at the Oceanview Hotel in Twillingate, NL.
She moved to Botwood, NL shortly after and little did she know that’s where she would end up meeting her future husband, and living out the rest of her life.
Linda and Raymond were married on October 9th, 1969 in Sudbury, ON. They went on to have two children & 52 years of marital bliss.
Over the years she continued to work hard cleaning houses and child minding for many families. Linda loved her family, reading, flowers, being outside, cooking and baking. She always enjoyed passing out cakes and cookies to friends & family at Christmas time. Linda also loved animals. Through the years she was fur-mom to Dusty, Angel and most recently J.J.
Linda was a kind and giving friend to many. She was always ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed, whether it be to family, friends or strangers. She is loved and will be missed by everyone who’s life she has touched.
Lt’s Thomas & Kristie Marsh will be conducting funeral services at the Salvation Army Citadel Botwood on Wednesday October 5th at 2 pm.
Cremation will take place following funeral services.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Homes Botwood.
