Linda Mary McEvoy 1957 2022 avis de deces

Linda Mary McEvoy passed away peacefully at Saint John
Regional Hospital on March 7th, 2022. Born
April 26th, 1957, she was the daughter of the
late Melvin and Madeline (Tucker) Duplessis.
She is survived by her daughters, Madeline McEvoy (David) of
Hermon, Maine, and Amanda Ryan (James) of Moncton, NB, grandchildren,
Kylie, Claire, Ethan, and Alex, brothers and sisters, Melda, Diana,
John, Paul, Nancy, and Fay.
She was predeceased by her parents, and brothers, Gerard, and
Roger.
Linda was a loving Mom, Grammy, Nana, Sister, Auntie,
Godmother, and a best friend. She worked at Sobey’s in
Fredericton for many years and so enjoyed going to work every day. She
took a job as a professional painter with Killam Properties in
Fredericton for several years. She looked forward to meeting new
people and took pride in everything she did. Her work ethic was
“do your best and work hard.”
After being diagnosed with MS, she had to retire and move to
York Care Centre, where she made many friends and so looked forward to
seeing her favorite nurses and staff. They treated her with the
wonderful care, compassion, and support she needed.
Her sister Fay continued to care for her as her caregiver
over the past 4 ½ years, going for drives, listening to
music, getting her Tim’s coffee, and sharing stories of when
the grandkids and family came to visit. She loved the next adventure
and it kept her going.
She was a strong, caring friend, and a lovely person to be
around. She was the first to lend a helping hand and the first to
listen if you had a problem or secret to share. She loved her family
and dedicated her time to focus on the positives. She accepted things
as they were. She was full of good laughter, jokes, and lived life to
the fullest, even under the greatest challenges.
How she will be sadly missed by us all. May she rest in peace
as her suffering is no longer more.
There will be no service or visitation by request. The family
would like to thank York Care Centre in Fredericton for all their
love, compassion, and dedication, and for taking care of Linda. Also,
the Cardiac Unit at the DECH for their wonderful care and support this
past week. Any charitable donations can be made to the SPCA
Fredericton, or the MS Society of Fredericton. Arrangements are under
the care of Bishop’s Funeral Home.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Linda Mary McEvoy 1957 2022..
