LINDA MARIE POLEGATO, DOMINION
April 3, 1960 – May 15th, 2022
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved LINDA MARIE POLEGATO (MCINNIS). Linda passed peacefully on the morning of May 15th with family by her side after a long four-year battle with ALS. She was the pillar of light and laughter in all her surroundings, and we will forever feel her presence in all our ongoing days.
Linda spent her life dedicated to raising her family, and she was always the first one to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. She had the ability to make everyone feel loved and to never leave a conversation without laughter. She truly was the “life of the party”. Linda had the most beautiful way with words and wrote many poems and stories winning awards.
Linda is survived by her dedicated, loving husband of 34 years Stephen, and three children, Brandon (Karla), Elise (Kyle), and Michael (Stacey); grandchildren Seth, Kaysen, and Xavier; Mother Marion; siblings Ricki (Shirley), Billy (Dauphinee), David (Carol), Danny, Jimmy, Ann Louise (Paul), Micky (Theresa), Betty, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was predeceased by her father Richard McInnis and brother Stevie McInnis.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Linda’s name to the Nova Scotia/New Brunswick ALS Society at www.alsnbns.ca . Linda was very passionate about helping others with ALS.
Our family would like to make a special heartfelt thank you to the Palliative Home Care team, Palliative Care Unit at CBRH, and the VON. Also, to our close friends and family that showered us all with love and support through this very difficult time.
Visitation will be on Thursday May 19th, from 5 to 8pm. A chapel service will be held on Friday May 20th at 3pm with Father Dan Boudreau officiating, followed by a reception at the Army, Navy, Airforce on Wilson Avenue.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
