Obituary
Linda Geraldine Owen passed away peacefully on November 6, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last days of her life. She was born in Wallasey, England, on July 15, 1945, to Harry and Alice Jones, and is survived by her brother, Brian Jones, of Hawarden, Wales. Linda emigrated to Canada where she met and married her beloved, Alan Owen, who just recently celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage.
Linda is survived by her husband, Alan, and their four children (and spouses), Vanessa Mirro of Monrovia California (and her husband Jim), Claire Perry of Westbank, B.C. (and her husband Ryan), Alicia Owen of Surrey, B.C., and Michael Owen of Westbank, B.C. Linda was a wonderful and loving granny to her four grandchildren, Christopher and Lily Perry, and Isabella and Chloe Mirro.
Linda was a compassionate spirit who spent years volunteering for various funding drives for local hospitals and in more recent years, the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She was warm and welcoming, fun, creative, and had an infectious laugh and smile. She was able to make friends anywhere she went and left lasting impressions of her warmth and love with all her family and friends. She created a magical, creative, and joyful childhood for her children and grandchildren. She cherished her friendships and celebrated all the wonderful people in her life. Linda will be deeply missed by all.
