Linda Diane Roy (nee Guignion)
1942 ~ 2022
Linda was born on May 23, 1942 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert; son Dave (Cindy) and daughter Judy (Wayne) Lee; three granddaughters, Brittany (Brett) Mauthe, Kristin Lee and Nicole Roy, two great-grandchildren, Everett and Avery Mauthe, as well as numerous family members and friends. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Bill Guignion; and her brother, Tom Guignion.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wetaskiwin Seniors Centre (5216 54 Street, Wetaskiwin, Alberta). Interment will take place following the service at the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery (4701 63 Avenue, Wetaskiwin, Alberta), with a luncheon to follow at the Wetaskiwin Seniors Centre.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Tyronne Berry and the nursing staff of Unit 33, for the exceptional care given to Linda during her time there.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation (6910 47 Street, Wetaskiwin, Alberta).
