Peacefully and surrounded by family, Lillian Kay Saranchuk passed away, at Crossroads Hospice on July 27th, 2022. She was 70 years old.
Lil was born February 20th, 1952, in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Nick and Rose Lozinski. She had one younger brother, Ron. She resided in Winnipeg for 20 years before relocating to Vancouver where she met the love of her life, Ray. They married on September 1st, 1973, and settled in Coquitlam into their forever home, welcoming their two sons, Christopher, and Nicholas to complete their family.
Lil was a loving wife, a highly involved and amazing mother, a proud Baba to her 4 grandchildren, a devoted Ukrainian Catholic, a loyal colleague and a cherished friend to many.
Left to honour her memory are her husband and lifelong love, Ray, her two sons, Chris (Laura) and Nick (Jennie) and her four grandchildren Kylie, James, Ethan, and Emily as well as numerous relatives and countless friends. Lil was predeceased by her parents and her baby brother. Lil will be dearly missed.
Prayers will be offered on Thursday, August 4th, 2022, at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Service/Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, August 5th, 2022, at 11:00 am.
All services will take place at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral (501 4th Avenue, New Westminster).
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Crossroads Hospice and Eagle Ridge Hospital for their care and compassion.
Donations are gratefully appreciated in Lil’s Memory to Crossroads Hospice or a charity of your choice.
