Lillian’s Obituary
DEXTER, Lillian Ellen – 81 passed away peacefully on the evening of February 14, 2022 at Roseway Manor. Born January 27, 1941 she was a daughter of Lewis and Nellie (Hallett) Hemeon.
Nellie spent most of her childhood in Sandy Point and on McNutts Island her adult life was spent in Gunning Cove being a wife and mother.
She is survived by sisters; Ida, Isabel and Kathleen and by her children; Ernie, Emily (Bingham), Janet (Peterson), Philip and Tony, lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Cyril Dexter, sisters; Jean, Helen, Eliza and brothers; Manus, Churchill, Orin and Russel.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. A funeral will take place on Thursday February 17th @ 11:00 am from the Husilson’s Funeral Home, 58 Bulkley Street, Shelburne. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions proof of double vaccination will need to be shown at the entrance and social distancing and the wearing of masks will be required as well. Burial will follow in the United Carleton Village Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
It has been requested that there be family flowers only in lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Lillian’s name to a Charity of Choice. On-line condolences may be left for the family at www.huskilson.net
