Lester’s Obituary
CLEVELAND, Lester Gordon ~ Age 76, of South Waterville, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at home. Born on August 29, 1946, in South Waterville, he was a son of the late Elmer and Elizabeth (Schofield) Cleveland. Lester had been employed at Kinsman Construction for many years. He loved to hunt and fish. Lester enjoyed time spent tinkering and playing in his garage. He cared for his late wife throughout her illness. Surviving are his loving and caring common-law wife, Verna M. Olmstead; brother, Earl Arenburg, Bridgewater; sisters, Violet Salsman, Waterville; Priscilla Dixon, South Waterville; Lenore “Tookie” Spinney, White Rock; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, the former Linda V. Houghton; brothers, Leslie, Charles, Howard, Harold, Emmerson, Clarence and Robert; sisters, Pearl and Helen. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will take place in Berwick Cemetery, Main St., Berwick, with Rev. Joe Gosbee officiating. No flowers by request, donations in his memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
