Leslie Linwood Pike
1950-2022
Leslie Pike of Scotch Lake, NB passed away on January 1, 2022 at Dr.
Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born on April 3, 1950, a son of the
late Harry and Lillian (Tapley) Pike.
Leslie was employed with the Department of Transportation, 43 years as
supervisor of the Bridge Crew. He was a hobby carpenter and he enjoyed
conversations with friends at the local coffee shops.
Leslie is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Yerxa) Pike; his children,
Laura Kilgore (Leon), Arizona and Wayne Pike (Ann), Temperance Vale,
NB; grandchildren Krista (Lawrence) and Korey; siblings, Edgar Pike
(Adeline), Pauline McLean, both of Temperance Vale, NB, Joline Clark
(Junior), Fredericton, NB, June Haynes (Paul), Dorn Ridge NB and
Helen McIntyre , Moose Jaw, SK; a sister-in-law Rosa Pike;
brothers-in-law, Glenwood Brewer, Bev Yerxa (Anna Mae), Danny Yerxa
(Joy) and Leo Corey; his mother-in-law, Violet Yerxa; several nieces,
nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his father-in-law
Gerald Yerxa; siblings, Alan, Fred, Allison and Dorothy and a
sister-in-law Gail Corey.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 12 noon until 2
pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm from the funeral home
chapel with Rev. Paul Legere officiating. Due to government COVID
regulations, masks, proof of double vaccination and government issued
ID are required. Interment will be at a later date at the Temperance
Vale Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allen McLean, Justin Pike, Colin Pike, Phillip
Haines, Edgar Pike and John Spavold.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Leslie, the family
has suggested the Alzheimer Society or Diabetes Canada.
