Obituary
It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leslie Dale Nordlund (age 70) at his home in Okotoks, Alberta, on April 21st, 2022.
Les was born in Kenora, Ontario (Lake of the Woods country), on March 18th, 1952. He was the second of three sons to George and Helen Nordlund. He is survived by his brothers Ed (Peggy) and Randy (Susan); nephews Ryan (Anu), Jonathan (Allison), Myles; and niece Courtney Nordlund.
He moved to Calgary in his early 20’s to join his younger brother Randy, and later moved a short drive south to Okotoks.
Throughout his career he worked in the construction industry as a carpenter, cabinet makers, and contractor.
Known for his dry and witty sense of humour, he could always make his many friends laugh. New friends laughed even harder as they hadn’t heard the jabs before. Les will be missed and remembered by all that knew him.
