Obituary
Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at the West Nipissing Hospital (Sturgeon Falls) on Sunday June, 5th, 2022 at 1pm at the age of 76 years. He was the beloved husband of the late Sandra Labrecque (nee Tait). Born in North Bay, he was the son of the late William and Elzire Labrecque. Leo was a hard working employee at H.E Brown Supply and Quality Auto for his entire career. He was an active member of the North Bay, Sturgeon Falls and River Valley Golden Age Clubs and enjoyed participating in their many events. He had a love for hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. He Also had a passion for dogs and enjoyed participating in field trial competitions. He also developed a great love for dancing and socializing. Leo will forever be known for his great sense of humor and sharp wit. He was a wise man and always enjoyed sharing his knowledge. He is survived by his loving partner Rachel San Cartier. His two daughters, Monique Labreque and Brenda Labrecque. His loving grandson Wade Leo Desbois (son of Monique). His siblings, Henry Labrecque (Henny), Therese Schubert (Harvey), Vivianne Boucher (Ray) and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Prescille Smith (Ken) Richard Labrecque (Diane). As per Leo’s request he will be cremated at Whispering Pines Funeral Home Crematorium and reunited with his beloved wife Sandra. There will be no services.
