Lawrence “Alex” Strongarm
Kā-pā-a-kōot (Standing Alone)
May 23, 1944 – September 10, 2022
With family at his side, Lawrence was called home by the Creator on Saturday, September 10, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon, his children: Cheryl, Janet, Michael, Frances, Chantelle, Terri-Anne (Dustin) Park (Strongarm); his brother Bill Strongarm (Colleen); brother in laws Donald Koochicum (Freda) and Bill Koochicum (Norma). Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Theresa Strongarm; his sisters Dorothy, Emily, Bertha and Mary; brother Fred (Slim) Strongarm; his daughter Sherlyne and granddaughter Ashley Strongarm, and his best friend Jarvis Littletent.
Lawrence came from a huge musical family, with members from the Skeeboss, Machininie, Strongarm and Crowe families, including many special nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention. He also leaves behind his babies: Anaya, Scar, Kendall, Kassen, and his baby boy, Braydence. A wake will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in the Lebret gym at 4:00 pm. Funeral Service will be the following morning, Thursday, September 15, at 10:00 am, in the same location, with interment on the Kawacatoose First Nation.
