Launce’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we, the family of the late Launce Bagg, announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, March 02nd , 2022 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville Crossing, NL at the age of 77 years. Born in Isle aux Morts, NL, Launce was the son of the late George and Melita “Maude” Baggs. He was also predeceased by his brother; Roy Bagg, sister; Beulah (John William) Walters, sisters that passed young; Jacklen Baggs, Ellen Baggs, June Baggs, brothers-in-law; Nathan Foote, Gordon Walters, Lloyd Pink Sr., sister-in-law; Grace Baggs and special friend; Woodrow Green.
Launce leaves behind with many front and precious memories his loving wife of 54 years; Diana Bagg (nee Walters), sons; Launce Bagg Jr, Rodney Bagg, sisters and brothers; Augusta Foote, George (Marie) Baggs. Rose Bagg, Henry Baggs, God-children; Eric Walters, Dawn Holderney, Sara Deadman, sister-in-law; Mary Pink and Mary’s children; Lloyd Pink Jr. and Serena Clarke.
Launce also leaves behind special friends Wilfred Seymour, Abbott Harvey, Ward Skinner, plus all nieces, nephews, extended family and anyone who called him Uncle Launce.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5th at 2 p.m. from Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts officiated by Rev. Edward Coleman. Interment will follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Due to the latest Government regulations your Newfoundland VaxPass, photo ID, masks and social distancing are required for entry to the visitation and church service. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Launce’s memory can be made to the Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts or to a memorial fund to have a gazebo with benches to be placed on Harvey’s Trail in Isle aux Morts.
