Larry G. Markusson was a beloved husband, father, afi & brother.
Larry was pre-deceased by his parents Albert Markusson and Margaret Markusson (Nee Arnason) and his Father in-law Frank Bristow.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Marie, Daughters Stacy (Myles Mowat) Melissa (Miles Lepine) and his beloved granddaughters Sophia & Lux,
His five sisters Daphne (Keith), Dianne, Cynthia (Richard), Janet (James), Sandra (Terry) numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Larry was an avid volunteer in the Gimli Community. He was a past President and Life Member of The Icelandic Festival of Manitoba, Past President of the Gimli Kinsmen Club, President of Seagrams Spirit Club, Executive Member of the Gimli Legion, Gimli Curling Club, Gimli Ambulance and Interlake Handi-Van driver.
Larry loved higher education. He attended The University of Winnipeg and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Larry worked at Seagrams/Diageo for 33 years from the ages of 22-55 and completed his CGA during his time there.
Larry spent the last months of his life playing music on Facebook live every Friday night. He was named Famous Larry by our friend Sarah’s grade 5 class.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at the Gimli Legion Br. 182 on Friday, September 23rd at 7 p.m.
Honorary Pall Bearers: Lorne Kasupski, Jamie Dunlop, Thom Cook. Joe Bristow, Miles Lepine and Myles Mowat.

Rest easy, you will be forever loved, and your music will live on in our hearts forever.
