ELLIOTT, KYLE “TOWIE” NORTHWOOD December 20, 1974 – September 6, 2022
It is with great sorrow that we say goodnight to our beloved “Towie” but announce his brave entry into Valhalla. Kyle died very suddenly at home and we lost a husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Kyle loved C.C.R., cried at animal stories and was a loyal true-blue person. A gentle, kind man, Kyle was the Blue Jays’ biggest fan and was passionate about LARPing. He was excited to finally get back to playing his games after a very long shut down due to Covid. Kyle was forthright about his opinions and you always knew where he stood on any matter. Kyle was very funny and we laughed a lot with him. Contracting kidney disease at 14, he dealt with adversity growing up but he was always upbeat; he’d say “it’s all good.” Predeceased by father, Ken; and step-father, Tony, Kyle leaves behind Jenny, his wife of 20 years; his mum, Ingrid; sister, Kirsten; brothers, Kirk and Ian (Hannah). Also step-mum, Jackie; Uncle Jarl (Kelly); cousins, Bengt (Leanne), Amy, Coleman, Brynn and Adelyn; nieces, Meagan, Georgia, Chloe and Charlotte; and very close friends, Dianne and Stefane; and of course, his puppy, Bandit. To know Kyle was to love him.
A Memorial Gathering will take place at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday September 17, 2022 from 12pm until 2 p.m.
