It is with great sadness the family of Kevin
Wayne Melvin, 54, of Beaver Bank, announce his unexpected passing on
Monday, September 12, 2022 at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of
the late Donald and Sylvia (Misner)
Kevin enjoyed his work in the stables at
Halifax Lancers for over 25 years. He loved animals of all sizes,
especially his cat, Blaze.
Kevin is survived by his siblings, Darren
Melvin of Beaver Bank; and Elizabeth Melvin (Francis Butt) of Bedford;
and nieces, Emily Melvin of Bedford and Brittany Sarty (Andre
Deschesnes) of Bedford. He was excited about becoming a great uncle in
the new year to Brittany’s baby on the
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to
11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022 in the White Family Funeral
Home, Kentville, immediately followed by the funeral service starting
at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Ivan Norton officiating. For those unable to
attend, a video webcast will be available at the time of service.
Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville. Donations
in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. To view
