Of Collingwood and former resident of Uxbridge died peacefully in his sleep after a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis on Tuesday August 30, 2022 in his 77th year. Kevin was born in Accrington, Lancashire England, he emigrated to Canada in 1968 where he met his future wife Joan. Devoted husband of 51 years to Joan Pilkington (nee MacGregor). Loving father of Lee Anne Sparling (Shawn Petit) and Andrew Pilkington (Ashley). Dear grandfather of Ashley Sparling, Ryerson Sparling and Alice Pilkington. Kevin is survived by his brothers Andrew Pilkington (Joan), Gerard Pilkington (Vivienne), Sister in Laws Mary Pilkington, Vivienne Pilkington and Margaret MacLaren (Ian). He will also be remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Predeceased by his brothers Jack Pilkington and Derek Pilkington. Kevin worked for many years as a Supervisor in the Parks Department for the City of Toronto. He enjoyed carpentry, wood working, always had a practical joke to share and was a very talented artist. A Celebration of Kevin’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood.
