Obituary
In appreciation of a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Kevin Michael Marsden, loving husband of 35 years to Anne (Richard), which occurred at his residence on Tuesday, July 12th, 2022. Born in Saint John on July 17th, 1964, he was the son of the late Bob and Elsie (Burns) Marsden.
Kevin was a well-respected Paramedic working with Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation. Prior to this, he worked at the Sherriff’s office, CentraCare and as a nursing orderly. Kevin was also a part of Sea Cadets, Pipe Band and was an instructor at St. John Ambulance teaching First Aid, CPR and First Responder courses.
In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, target practice at the range, playing poker with the boys and drinking the ‘occasional’ crown royal.
Along with Anne, Kevin is survived by his brother Keith and sister Laura-Lee “Squirt” (Paul) Cogswell and their children Arthur (Megan) and their son Elijah, Branden (Tyanna), Cyndi (Calvin) and their children; Calvin, Carla and Colton, Jessie and her children; Marshall and Rory.
He is also survived by his “sister Judy Perry” (Billy) and their children; Kyle (Jenny) and their son Makiah, Kirkland (Becky) and their son Carter.
Kevin will also be remembered by his brother in-law Kevin (Agnes) Richard and their children Melissa (James) and their daughter Ryleigh, Marc and Michelle (Matt).
In addition to his parents, Kevin is predeceased by his sister Bobbie-Jo, great-niece Alexis and parents in-law James and Mary (Bernard) Richard.
Visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Friday, July 15th, 2022 between the hours of 2-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sts. Joachim and Ann Catholic Church, 144 Simpson Drive, Saint John, on Saturday, July 16th at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
