Obituary of Kenneth Allen Dodgson
Ken (Kenneth) Allen Dodgson
“Apples”
Ken Dodgson was born in Bralone, British Columbia to Basil and Eileen Dodgson. Ken later moved to the coast, then Kamloops and finally settled in Cranbrook. Ken was very proud of his 25+ years of service with BCHydro. His greatest joy was his children and family. He was a true friend to many and was always the first one to lend a hand. Moving to the log house acreage made it possible for Ken to pursue and enjoy his passion for horses. He had a true love for the outdoors including fishing, hiking, camping and of course the campfires. A day in his buggy exploring was as he always said, “Just another day in paradise.”
Ken is survived by his children, Debbie, Danny(Tracey), Katie, Jordan(Taylor), Kelsey(Brent), his girlfriend Sally and roommate of many years Dan. His sisters Kathleen(Tom), Bonnie(Dennis), Jennifer(Dave) and Colleen(Jerry). Brothers Bill(Melanie), Doug(Linda), Steve(Anne), Rick(Kathy) as well as his grandchildren Kaytlin, Dayton and great grandson Jackson, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews alike.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Basil and Eileen Dodgson, girlfriend Rosie, and fur babies Trixie and Jake.
Please join us for an outdoor bonfire in Ken’s honour at the Idlewild toboggan hill at 2:00PM Thursday, January 13th, 2022 following the online service. We would love for everyone who wishes and is able, to come and join us and share a memory or story while enjoying what Ken truly loved – the outdoors.
