Kenneth Alan McKay
August 9, 1940 – August 23, 2022
Ken McKay of Lodgepole, Alberta passed away peacefully on August 23, 2022 at the age of 82 years.
Ken was predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years, Joan, on January 23, 2020; he is survived by and will forever be loved and missed by his three children, Dawn Lowe (Derek), Brad McKay (Debbie), Kim McKay (Peter); his 6 grandchildren, Skyler, Kelsie, Kirstin, Baylie, Bryce and Jessie and his great-grandsons, Asher, Austin and Otto. Ken is also survived by his siblings, Gordon, Brian, Gary and Gail.
Ken loved the farm life with Joan, and together they made a beautiful home lovingly called “The Stump Farm” where he and Joan enjoyed playing games and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed building a raft for his grandkids, hunting, golfing, baking desserts and flying his flight simulator around the world.
We would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and support staff who cared for him during his lengthy illness.
Ken will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
