Obituary of Kelly Mary Lautsch
Kelly passed away on November 28th, 2022 after a battle with cancer, with loved ones by her side.
Kelly and her twin Shelly were born to Steve Kimmie and Irene Covey on June 10th, 1965 in Quesnel BC. She grew up in Wells BC, spending her childhood adventuring, curling, and making memories with her siblings.
Kelly had two sons, Jay and Richard Allman, with her first husband and later remarried to Randy Lautsch and had her daughter Marsha Lautsch.
In her younger years Kelly worked in the Barkerville bakery but didn’t find her true calling until completing the care aide course in 1997 and began working at Dunrovin. Her kindness and joy for life made her the perfect fit for the job.
Kelly was always ready for an adventure. Whether it be canoeing the Bowron Lake chain or snowmobiling in the mountains. She faced every challenge with courage and determination.
Kelly is survived by her husband Randy Lautsch; her mother Irene Covey; her siblings John (Jackie) Kimmie, Rose Wourms and Shelly Kimmie; her children Jay Allman, Richard (Sheala) Allman and Marsha Lautsch; her grandchildren Myles Allman and Abigail Allman, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her father Steve Kimmie, step mother Marina Kimmie, step father Bert Covey, brother-in-law Lee Wourms and son Steven.
Special thanks to Dr. Martins, Dr. Obanye, the G.R. Baker 3rd floor and cancer ward nurses for their exceptional care.
A celebration of life will be held at Clayton’s Funeral Home on Saturday December 10th at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the G.R. Baker cancer ward.
