Doyle, Kathleen (Kay)
1924-2022
Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday April 16th, 2022, a few weeks before her 98th birthday when her Lord and Saviour, in His perfect timing, gently carried her home. Kay is predeceased, by her husband Walter, of 69 years
Loving and devoted mother of Linda Duncan (Robert), and Jeannie Gowanlock (Brian). Cherished grandmother of Jason Duncan (Anita), David Duncan (Suzanne), Jody Gowanlock, Jennilyn Reed (Adam) and Jessica Gowanlock. Proud great grandmother of Rachel, Kayla, Grace, Ryan, Cassidy, Samantha, Sarah-Jean, Megan, Rebekah, Brody, Logan, and Brooke. Predeceased by her parents, Nelson, and Jean (Reid) Curry, brothers Stanley, Douglas (Marlene) and Eric (Ruth). Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law, Florence Marcellus, many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. Kay grew up on a farm in Wyebridge. After she married, she moved to Midland and Orillia. She was a member of the Christian Fellowship Chapel and faithfully read her Bible daily. Over the years favourite activities were fishing, painting, playing table games with her family. She was a gifted knitter who spent years knitting slippers and donated boxes of them to those in need at Christmas. Celebration of life service will be held at the Christian Fellowship Chapel, Severn on May 25th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at the St. James on-the-Lines, Cemetery, 215 Church Street Penetanguishene. If desired, memorial donations (of your choice) may be made to the Christian Fellowship Chapel, the Severn Bridge Christian Assembly or to the Gideons through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E Orillia (705) 327-0221.
