Katie Parsons
August 30, 1957 – April 30, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Katie Parsons announce her passing on April 30, 2022, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 64 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son Philip Ross Parsons Jr. (Susanna), granddaughter Brooke Parsons of Corner Brook, NL; son Jeff Jones of Powel River, BC; Sisters: Eileen (Ray), Jane (Ernest), Vera Mae (William), Evelyn, Irene (Wilfred) and Collen, all of Port aux Basques, NL; Brother James (Wanda) of Shelburne, NS; Her loving companion Arthur Keeping of Burnt Island, NL; Her Brothers-in-law: Ronald (Shirley), Matthew (Betty) of Burgeo, NL; Sisters-in-law: Audrey (Ray) of Port aux Basques, NL., And Margie (James) of Gaetz Brook, NS. Along with many nieces and nephews. Katie was predeceased by her husband Philip Ross Parsons, parents James and Dorothy Organ and sister-in-law Sharon McCarthy.
Visitation will be held at the Anglican Church in Burgeo on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 7-9 PM, as well as on Monday, May 2, 2022, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM from the Anglican Church, with Reverend Elsie Rose officiating. Burial at the Burgeo Community Cemetery is set to follow the funeral service.
