Kathleen Joan Carter Bainbridge 2022

Obituary
BAINBRIDGE, Kathleen Joan (nee Carter)
Passed away peacefully, with family at her side, on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Algonquin Grace Residential Hospice at the age of 77. Joan was born to parents Denzel and Kaye (nee Kelsey) Carter on July 25, 1945, in Barrie, Ontario. She is the beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Bainbridge of 50 years. Cherished mother of Lori (Chris) dePeuter, Leah (Ian) Cameron, Taira Bainbridge and Sheila (Jeff) Breckenridge. Much loved grandmother of Brett, Josh and Chad dePeuter, Kyle and Connor Cameron, Amelia Bainbridge and Sarah Brekenridge. Dear sister of Bob Carter.
Joan was a woman with many interests. She loved her family, spending time outdoors and her crafts. A favourite spot to hike was Ragged Falls. Joan collected driftwood, liked to garden, went on family boat rides, picnics, spent time at the lake and was an avid reader. Joan was also very skilled and enjoyed knitting, sewing and made beautiful quilts. She was a proud member of her quilt group “Stisted Stitchers.” It was being a wife, mother and grandmother that gave her the most joy in life.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation being held on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Billingsley Funeral Home and again on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 11 am until time of service in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow.
