DOREY , Katherine Ruth “Kaye” – age 86 of Fall River, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2022, in Gables Lodge, Amherst. Born in Stanley, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Eva (Campbell) Millett.
Kaye held several jobs over the years, working security at the airport being her most recent but her family was her main focus. She loved making her jams, breads, and pickles.
Kaye is survived by her sons, Mark (Sandra) and Shane (Cary); daughter, Louise (Tim); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Blanche (Lawrence); 0ne niece and two nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bernard; children, Elizabeth, Larry and Louis.
Visitation will be held 6-8pm Friday October 28th in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. A funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, October 29th in St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Centre Rawdon, Rev. Kent Greer officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Donations in Kaye’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia and the Lung Association.
