Karen Lynn Galliott
1953-2022
Karen Lynn Galliott,
68, of Coldbrook, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022.
She was the wife and
best friend of Jim Galliott for fifty years. She was also the loving
mother, grandmother and mother-in-law of Tammie Nichole Galliott
(predeceased) and Stefanie Lynn Galliott-Conway (predeceased)
(Bernie), Rylan and Maryn, Kentville; Bryce (Heather Keddy), Hilary,
Bridget and Judson, Cambridge; Joshua (Sterling Fraser), Edison,
Calgary, AB; Nicholas (Misty DeEll), Laurel and Olivia, Aylesford.
Karen also leaves behind sisters, Victoria (Garnet) Misner, Judy
(Wilson) Crann, Shelly Palmer, JoAnn (Tim) Jones; brother, Gerry
Palmer; sisters-in-law, Marjorie (Stephen) Gavin, Susan (Hedley –
predeceased) Crocker, Donna Gavin; brothers-in-law, Stephen and Carol
Galliott.
She was predeceased by
her parents, the late Gerald and Pricilla “Pat”
(Kynock) Palmer; in-laws, Tom and Olive (Wilton) Galliott;
brothers-in-law, David Galliott and John (Jean)
Galliott.
Karen loved nothing
more than to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed the
Sunday family dinners and holiday gatherings. Karen cared for all. She
worked at the VON Annapolis Valley branch for 30 years. She loved
working with her many coworkers, some of whom she continued
friendships with after retirement (her “VON girls”).
She will be missed by all who knew her and her many nieces and
nephews.
Cremation has taken
place and there will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service
will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022 in the Berwick
Cemetery, Reverend Ivan Norton officiating. For those unable to
attend, a video webcast of the service will be available at 10:00 a.m.
on Saturday, June 11, 2022. The family would like to thank all of the
doctors and nurses who cared for Karen during her illness, in
particular, Dr. McMillan.

may be made to the VON – Annapolis Valley or a charity of
