Judy passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s palliative care unit in Lethbridge after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.
Judy is survived by three sisters; Lee Wallace (Beaumont, AB), Jan Sameshima (Lethbridge, AB) and Kathy Clark (Gibsons, BC) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by parents Gordon and Isobel Brown.
Judy was born in Edmonton, AB and moved to Calgary during high school, where she resided until shortly before her passing. After graduating from U of C Judy worked at Safeway for many years. She then moved on to Kelman Archives, and for the last ten years Field Law, a job she loved.
Judy loved crafts, crossword puzzles and playing bridge. She was also a very talented calligrapher. She had a remarkable memory and a vast knowledge for trivia. You always wanted her on your Trivial Pursuit team! Jeopardy was definitely her favorite show.
She was the queen of limericks and could write one for any occasion. Judy had a great sense of humor and sharp wit. She loved giving people a hard time. We are going to miss those gibes, Judy!
