Judith “Judy” Ann Williams of Ardoise, died at the age of 79 in the Valley Regional Hospital in the evening of December 11, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Della (Deveau) Saulnier and was predeceased by her son Jeffrey Arthur Carl Learn, sister Betty (Robert “Bob”) Chalmers and brother Peter Saulnier. She leaves behind her husband and life partner of 35 years, Don Williams; a daughter Shelley (Ron) Leblanc; stepson Kevin (Darlene) Williams; two grandchildren Samson (Kelsey-Anne) Learn, and Devyn Fitzgerald; her four sisters: Christine (Rick) Wright, Anne Marie (Dave) LeCour, Mary Saulnier, and Karen Titus; her two brothers: Stephen (Cathy) Saulnier and Paul Saulnier.
She was born and attended school in Digby, graduated from St Patrick’s Business College and worked in various establishments in the Digby area. In 1987 she moved to Ardoise and spent the next 15 working years at Dalhousie University at the School of Nursing where she retired from.
She was an avid crafter, lending her hand in quilting, knitting, ceramics and needle point. In her final years she was a volunteer knitter, donating hundreds of hats to the IWK Purple Hat program. Judy was curious and forthcoming, had a terrific eye and dedication to detail and had a card for every occasion. Her wishes were to be laid to rest next to her son with a family-only graveside service.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the IWK in Halifax.
