Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Judith (Judy) Hazel Arnold (nee Dobson) on July 17, 2022, at the age of 74 at Shuswap General Hospital. Judy was born in Lower Cove in Nova Scotia on May 10, 1948.
Judy was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced may medical challenges over the last 11 years with courage and dignity. Judy was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband Mike Arnold; they lived in Revelstoke, BC for 50 years and moved to Sicamous, BC in 2019. She is also survived by her daughter Sharon Knapp (Wil Voth) of Sicamous and son Jeff Arnold (Jean) of Revelstoke.
Judy’s grandchildren were the love of her life; she is survived by her grandchildren Eric Kubos (Katie Tompkins), Ryan Kubos (Jennifer Jaworski), Malia Knapp (Billy Cormier), Matthew Arnold, Aiden Arnold and her beautiful great granddaughter Hazel Cormier. She is also survived by two sisters and two bothers as well as many other family & friends.
Judy enjoyed family time, camping, fishing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking and gardening. She will be remembered for her caring personality and devotion to everything she did.
Judy was predeceased by her parents Fred and Hazel Dobson, Donald Dobson and Gerry Dobson.
There will be no funeral for Judy at her request, there may be a grave side service at a later date.
Memorial tributes in Judy’s name may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
