Obituary
Corkum, Joy Margaret – 80, Springhill, passed away November 5th, 2022 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. She was a daughter of the late Basil “Deed” and Doris (Carde) Beaton. She is survived by daughters, Lynn (Terry) Smith; Brenda (Rob) Howard; Dawn (Thompson) Lowe; grandchildren, Melanie (Paul); Brandon; Daniel; Courtney; Chelsea (Ken); Matthew; Samantha (Travis); Samantha (Kevin); Colton; great-grandchildren; Alex, Aidan, Ryan, Madden, Asher, Baylin, Cameron, Levi, Brooke, Liam, Logan, Karissa, Zacariah, Odin, Darian, Isabella and Evelyn; special family friend, Marion MacDonald; special friends, Bonnie and Claudia; sister, Joyce; brother, Howard. She was predeceased by her husband, David; brothers, Floyd, Harold; sister, Jean. Joy’s family would like to say a very special thank you to Marion and Donnie for all they did for Mom and also thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the CRHCC ICU unit for the wonderful care she received. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Camp Cumberland or Canadian Cancer Society. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, November 10 in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Oxford, followed by graveside service at 4 p.m. at Rodney Cemetery.
