Obituary of Josephine Mary Dakin
Josephine (Jose) Mary Dakin passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s on Sunday, May 01st, 2022, at 87 years.
Josephine (Jose) is survived by her six loving children and their families, Audrey (Barrie) Hutchinson of Irricana AB, Norman Dakin(Eileen McSorley) of Sylvan Lake AB, Brenda (Dale) Bilanski of Spruce Grove Alberta, Allan Dakin (Sandy Nuns) of Edmonton AB, Blair Dakin and Darren Dakin of Fort McMurray AB.
13 Grand Children Robin (Lisa) Reesik, Rachelle Reesik(Dave Keeping), Bradley Dakin, Kimberly (Kyle Borle), Jenny Campbell, Kristine Bilanski (Darcy Bean), Houston, Colton, Myles, Mitchell, Megan, Kaitlin and Nicholas Dakin.
14 Great Grand Children, Chloe and Drayton Reesik, Gavin Sheppard, Hailey and Noah Campbell, Harrison, London and Edison Borle, Ronyn and Makayla Bean, Ashton Dakin, Payton Dakin and Haivyn and Blaikely Dakin.
She also leaves to morn her sisters Lena Onoxby (St. Jean) and Leah Plamondon, her Sister-in-law Emelia (Glen) Alore, Brother-in-law Bernard Dakin, and many nieces and nephews and many many friends.
Josephine was predeceased by her loving husband Roger of 49 years, her parents Simeon and Marie Duperron, her in-laws George and Lea Dakin, along with 15 of her brothers, sisters and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and one grand-daughter Chelsea.
Funeral Services will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church, Saturday, May 07th, 2022 at 11:00 am with Internment to follow at the Abasand Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society and or The Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Josephine (Jose) Dakin.
