JOSEPH SZOKE
FEBRUARY 16, 1950 – FEBRUARY 5, 2022
It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Joseph Michael Szoke on Saturday February 5, 2022 at the age of 71 years. Loving husband of 50 years to his wife Sharon. Caring and supportive father to Rob (Margaret) Szoke and Tammy (Roger) Podlesky. Proud grandfather to Amanda (Dennis), Amy (Braydon), Shawn and Shelby. Great grandfather to Cayden, Sawyer, Carter and Summer. Brother to Elaine Szabo, Theresa Dunseith, Kathy Sieswerda and Margaret (Darryl) Ryan.
Predeceased by his parents Joszef (1977) and Anna Farkas (2008), sister Anna Farkas (1976) and a baby brother at birth.
Joe loved yard sales. He loved collecting antique coins, fishing and gardening. Joe always had to be busy doing something. He worked at Livingston’s for 10 years before spending the remainder of his career at Autoneum, formerly Mastico for 30 years.
Family and friends will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg on Thursday February 10, 2022 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. All guests are required to register for visitation on the funeral home website or by calling the Funeral Home. Should additional visitation time be required, time slots for further visiting hours will be added accordingly. All guests must wear masks and remain socially distant. Guests are asked not to attend if they are ill or under isolation.
A private funeral service will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:00 am and will be livestreamed via link made available on Joe’s memorial site at www.ostrandersfuneralhome.com.
