John Lees of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of Cheryl Lees, passed away on Thursday, September 15th, 2022 at the age of 61 years. John leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cheryl Lees; sons, Peter (Terri) Lees and Jamie (Victoria) Lees; grandchildren, Connor, Derek, Chloe, Brandon, Sarah, Jenna, and Charlotte; his father, John Sr. Lees; sisters, Pamela (Troy) Strandberg and Bonny (Jeremy) Moulton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his mother, Ruth Lees. John was a truck driver for over 25 years and enjoyed travelling. He was a Monopoly champ and “could never lose”. John loved to visit family and friends whenever possible. He will be missed and loved always and forever. John’s family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors for their wonderful care of John over the last months, both in Calgary and Medicine Hat. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1Z5, on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Shane Hein officiating. Interment will follow at SAAMIS PRAIRIE VIEW CEMETERY. Memorial gifts in John’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB T2E 2P5.
