Born John Joseph Kuntz March 12, 1945, John passed away peacefully in hospital after fighting a courageous battle with cancer on February 17, 2022 at the age of 76.
John leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years Jeanne (Bieth), daughters Jennifer Leis (Mike), Donna Lacey (Grant) and his cherished grandsons Matt, Alex, and Jordan Lang, Corey and Shawn Lacey. He will be remembered by his mother Lena, siblings Isabelle Dyet, Maryanne Kroetsch, Frank (Gail), Theresa, and his sister-in-law Elaine Rice.
John was predeceased by his father Peter, father-in-law Gerald, mother-in-law Yvette, sister-in-law Donna Gaudet, brothers-in-law Ronnie Dyet, Adrian Kroetsch, John Gaudet, and Jim Rice.
John was very proud of his Piggy Paradise Farm in Brant Township, until a fire destroyed the barn. Always working hard to provide for his family, John started J & J Sandblasting and Barn Painting, a company that John ran until the age of 65. Ever the handyman, John was a great mechanic spending most of his free time in the shop working on vehicles and machinery for himself or anyone that needed help.
To his daughters, John was well known for being able to make the most of the food available, ham soup could never be stretched further, and chocolate syrup was just fine once you removed the ‘fuzzy peas’ from the top. John was a great man that enjoyed having fun with his family, working hard, and who was so incredibly proud of his grandsons.
