Obituary
John BOUTILIER
1939 – 2022
With great sadness, we announce the passing of John (Jack) Boutilier at the age of 83 following a three month stay at the Ottawa Hospital. Jack was born in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1959 where he was affectionately known as ‘Boots’, and retired with 39 years of service.
Jack is survived by his wife Donna, daughters Kim (Remko), Sandra (Chris) and Dawn (Dave), and by his grandchildren Tyler, Hannah and Renze, for whom he always had a funny (and often made-up) story. We will miss his great sense of humor and his wonderful home cooked meals.
He is predeceased by his brother Kenny and sister Jean, and will be greatly missed by his brothers Donnie and Gerald, his sisters Beverly and Debbie, and his many nieces and nephews.
He also leaves behind many military friends and friends from the Hylands Golf Club, where he spent a great deal of his time.
We express our deepest gratitude to the staff at the Ottawa Hospital-Civic Campus for their kindness, compassion and efforts to help Jack during his illness.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Ottawa Foodbank.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of John Jack Boutilier September 8 1939 October 11 2022 (age 83)..
