Obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to the most caring and selfless person you had the pleasure of knowing or being around.
John, 78, passed away at Silverado Creek Senior Community on Monday July 18th, 2022. He is survived by his wife Linda; sons Michael (Wendi) and Shawn (Pascale); his seven grandchildren; Chelsey (Gage), Lane, Shelby, Matthew, Kiera (Tom), Michael, and Sage; and great-grandchildren Emma and Colt.
John was predeceased by his parents Harold and Muriel; his brothers Gary and Murray; his sisters Audrey, Paula, and Margaret; and his granddaughter Dakota. Left to mourn him are brothers; Tom, Glenn, and Alf and sisters; Joyce, Jean, Irene, and Blanda; along with countless family and friends.
John worked construction, helping to build many of the lake communities throughout Calgary. Following this, he started working at the local grain elevators delivering feed to the farming community throughout the Foothills area. After retirement, John kept busy mowing lawns, removing snow and being a general handyman around the neighborhood.
You’d be hard pressed to find a more caring, kinder, or friendlier man; John greeted everyone one with a big smile and a joke at the ready; he cared for everybody he met and became instant friends with a handshake.
He was truly our most precious gift and we all love and miss him dearly.

Service will take place at Snodgrass Funeral Home, 200 Woodgate Rd, Okotoks, AB on August 5, 2022 at 1:30 pm with refreshments to follow at the Okotoks Elks Club, 58 Elizabeth St, Okotoks, AB.
