At the Kings
County Memorial Hospital, with family by his side, the passing of John
Francis Walsh age 85, devoted and loving husband of 63 years to Mary
Lou (Henry) Walsh, occurred on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Born in
Georgetown, October 7, 1936, he was the son of the late Earl and Agnes
(Donahoe) Walsh. John is survived by children, Kenny (Jill) Walsh,
John (Susan) Walsh, Michael (Tracey) Walsh, Greg Walsh, Kevin (Kathy)
Walsh and Karen (Jeff) Walsh-Meiczinger; sisters and brothers, Eleanor
Jay, Sr. Emily Walsh, Joe Walsh, Peter (Deb) Walsh and Doris (Paddy)
Simmons; ten cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Grace, Sheila, Patrick,
Rebecca, Ian, Aaron, Lauren, Will and Emily; three adored great
grandchildren, Claire, Harry and Benjamin; numerous nieces and
nephews; great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by infant son Robert;
brother Bernard (Ellen), great grandson Jedd; brother-in-law Bill Jay;
sister-in-law, Reatha Walsh, niece Tammy Walsh.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with
private family visiting by invitation on Friday, February 25, 2022.
Funeral Mass by invitation to be Celebrated on Saturday, February 26,
2022, in St. James Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in
the St. James Parish Cemetery. Online condolences may be made on the
