Obituary
John (Barrie) Trottier passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2022 at the Penticton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his two ‘girls’, Cheryl and Shauna-Lee. Barrie is survived by his wife, Maria of 59 years; his daughters, Cheryl (Richard) and Shauna-Lee; his grandchildren, Krista, Keal and Matthew; and three of his brothers, Neil (Madeline), Denis (Maria) and Paul. Barrie was very proud of having served as a City of Calgary Firefighter, where he began his career in 1965 and retired from in 1993, as a Captain, after 28 years of service. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church located at 361 Wade Avenue, Penticton. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society.
