(Better known as Nannie
Wallace)
Formerly of Merland, Joan passed away peacefully at home in
Lower South River on August 22, 2022, surrounded by her
family.
She is survived by her children, Gerald (Gina), Alfie (Dawn),
Robbie (Mary), Rosemary, Cassie (Steve), Carmen (Donna), Freddy, Leon
(Rose), Kelly (Mike), and Nancy (John); 18 grandchildren and 24
great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy, Doris, Rae, Lynn, Ellen, Lee,
Cyril, Carl, and Blair, and brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Allie,
Rosena, Earl, and Billy (Darlene).
Predeceased by her husband, John Francis; son, Kevin;
grandchildren, Jerri, Jesse, Johnathan, Jesse, and Braxtin; and five
siblings.
Visitation will be held Monday in C.L. Curry Funeral Home,
135 College Street, Antigonish, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
Funeral Mass Tuesday at 11:00am in St. Peter’s Church,
Tracadie, with Fr. John Barry presiding. Burial in St.
Patrick’s Cemetery, Merland.
