Joan passed away at 88 years old. Mom was loved by her late husband Gordon and her son’s Gregg (Renee), and Brian (Cindy) and her only grandchild, Ryan. Mom seemed to rally when Dad become ill and perhaps, after Gordon passed away mere weeks ago, just shy of 69 years of marriage, mom finally allowed herself to rest.
Joan was predeceased by her husband Gordon, her brothers Billy (Isabel), and Colin (Donna-Rae), and their parents William and Gladys Golightly. Mom will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Mom loved her family, and for years cherished our family dinners, her grandchild Ryan, grand dog Quinley and lulling the unsuspecting into card game disaster.
Our family want to thank the wonderful staff at MacTaggart Place Retirement Residence, Unit 54 at the Grey Nuns Hospital, as well as Dr. Samycia, her family doctor.
Mom will be cremated and there will not be a service. We would love to hear your memories of Joan if you would like to share on the Trinity Funeral Home website.
