Obituary of Jim Spriggs
Spriggs, James Wallace “Jim” of Metcalfe Gardens, St. Thomas passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, July 30, 2022 in his 78th year two days after the passing of his sister Pat Durdle. Dear father of Nancy, Rose Marie, Venus, Betty, the late Cindy and their mother Betty. Also survived by his brother Jerry, a sister Rose and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Patricia, Jean, Barb and a brother Joe. Predeceased by his partner Bev. Jim was born in St. Thomas on May 4, 1945, son of the late Charles “Joe” and Margaret (Barker) Spriggs. Jim and siblings grew up in Fingal. Only a month ago they took a drive to see the old homestead. He was a big fan of the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Blue Jays. Jim will be remembered by his family for his sense of humour. He could not get enough butterscotch pudding and he loved perch and chips. Visitation at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday from 10 am to 11 am. The Funeral Service will he held at the funeral Home on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 11:00 am. then we will follow to Orwell Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
