Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Saturday December 18th, 2021, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Laurene (nee Holborne) of 63 years. Loving father of Kim Ellis and Dina Braun. Proud grandfather of Kara and Kristine. Dear brother of Jane (predeceased). Jim will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. In keeping with Jim’s wishes cremation will take place a memorial gathering will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E. Orillia on Saturday April 23rd, 2022, from 1 pm until 3 pm. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.simcoefuneralhome.ca
