Jerry Lynn Doane – age 82 of Knoxville passed away Saturday, December 11, 2022. Jerry attended Little Valley Baptist Church and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from Rohm and Haas. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman and farmer. He loved his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by wife, Wanda Sue Armstrong Doane; parents, Alonzo and Chassie Doane; and siblings, Virginia Cameron, Clifford Doane, Elizabeth Greene, Edgar Doane, and Evelyn Ivey.
Survived by son, Lynn (Melisa) Doane; daughters, Debbie (Kenneth) Clifton and Pamela Doane; brothers W.C. (Elaine) Doane and Herman Doane; grandchildren, Lynna Doane, Kendra Clifton, Charles (Brandi) Clifton, and Brandon Strain; great grandchild, Tailyn Doane; and great great grandchildren, Tayven and Brooklyn. Family and friends will meet 9:45 AM on Monday, December 19, 2022, at East TN Veterans Cemetery-John Sevier Hwy. for a 10:00 AM graveside service. Military honors will be provided by East TN Veteran Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East TN Veteran Honor Guard, PO Box 22802, Knoxville, TN 37933.
