Jennifer Lynn (Hoar) Buck
1989-2022
Jennifer Lynn (Hoar) Buck tragically and suddenly passed away
at the age of 33, on Oct 28th, 2022, at the Fredericton hospital
surrounded by her loving family.
Jenn was born in Moncton, on April 25th, 1989 to her adoring
parents, Darren and Alice Hoar of Waterside, NB. She was loved by
everyone who ever met her including her devoted husband of nine years,
Merle, and their two beautiful daughters, Nadele (10) and Julie
(7).
She was passionate about many things including, but not
limited to, her family, boating, art, tattooing, pets, gardening,
pickling and decorating the house for holidays for the whole
neighbourhood to enjoy.
The affection Jenn had for her family was limitless and the
dedication for her daughters was apparent in all ways. From their own
devotion for their mother to their always flawless styled hair to
great school lunches. Jenn’s husband’s military service was a source
of extreme pride, ever cherishing the way he looked in uniform. Jenn’s
favourite times of the year were summer and fall, and she hated snow
with a passion. Boating, on the Saint John River, and beach days, at
Middle Island, with friends and family were something she took great
joy in. Normally being one to stand to the side and observe, she
literally took the wheel when out on the water and was the boat’s
pilot. She shared her husband’s esteem for fishing although refused to
come near the fish she caught or touch the worms. Regarding art,
everything was done with an effortless perfection, she never
understood how truly amazing she was because it all came so naturally
to her. The tattoos she did on herself, mother, friends and test dummy
of a husband are not the only permanent marks she left on this world
and is only one example of her breathtaking art. Jenn’s fondness of
pets knew no bounds and was not limited to her 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2
guinea pigs. She loved supporting the Oromocto SPCA and CARMA. Jenn
donated her time painting pumpkins for their fundraisers and dedicated
her prize winnings to these great charities. Gardening was close to
her heart and even though her husband, Merle, did most of the physical
labour, everyone loved the veggies from “Jenn’s garden”. The
fact she made the best pickles around showed her delight in canning,
always taking great pleasure in sharing them with family and
neighbours and unfailingly made extra to ensure there were plenty to
hand out. Jenn was outstandingly generous and the awe inspiring
displays at her house on holidays were a testament to how much joy
they truly were for her. Despite her husband’s objections, she always
handed out far too many treats on Halloween.
Jenn left this world far too young. She will forever be
remembered by her loving husband and best friend, Merle; their
precious daughters Nadele and Julie; ever-loving parents Darren and
Alice Hoar; caring brother Jeffrey; treasured in-laws Laverne and
Joyce Buck; adoring siblings in-law Joe and Emily Buck. All of her
remarkable Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends whose lives were blessed
to have known Jenn, as all of her endeavours enhanced their
lives.
Jenn was predeceased by her grandparents, Reginald and
Dorothy Hoar; Edmund and Edna Butland; and dear friend Mathew
Kovacs.
