Obituary of Jean Tasker
With a deep sense of loss and yet grateful that our mom lived a life well led, we share the passing of Jean Tasker on October 27, 2022 in her 96th year.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd Tasker with whom they shared 54 years of marriage.
Beloved mom to Dale and his wife Pat, of Holland Landing, Ontario, Kevin and his wife Connie, of Goderich Ontario and Cherida and her husband Edward Riley of London, Ontario.
Jean’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Lauren (Ryan), Megan (Jon), Nathan, Kabrena and Colton along with her great grandchildren Myles and Tyler. The love they shared with her was very special. She also loved her granddogs!
Sincere gratitude to the Harbour Hill Retirement Home staff for the care provided to our mom. She loved that you shared in her “fun” and appreciated all your visits and kindness.
Jean loved life and lived it to the fullest. No matter at what age she knew how important it was to cherish special moments and how to have fun! She was passionate about a good “Bridge” game and was in Blyth Bridge clubs for over 50 years. Before retiring to her favourite place, their cottage at Amberley, she worked at Huron View in Clinton.
She treasured and maintained deep and lasting friendships and for all of those whose lives she touched, cherish the many memories of a long life well lived.
Jean was born in Brockville where she met and married Lloyd and they and moved to Blyth in 1949. They owned the Tasker Funeral Home and Furniture Store. She was predeceased by her parents Florence (Jarvis) and John Williams along with 4 siblings, Inez Bissonnette, Vi Quinn, Eddie Williams and Norman Williams.
Mom/Grandma you were deeply loved beyond measure and forever in our hearts. We love you!
