Jeannette Lowey will be sadly missed in the community and by her relatives and friends. She was usually putting together a monthly coffee event. Jennette loved her hockey games which she always volunteered for so many years. When the Hockey Team was on the road she would listen to it on the radio. She knew every player, she was excited with the game. I remember her asking how did you get to Volunteer at the Hockey games? So gave her a name to ask for and she was in and volunteered for 20 years. She had a little spark in her eyes, that mischievous look you never knew what she would be up to next. Also Jeannette loved dancing, line dancing I think was the best for her. We didn’t need a partner to dance. May she be dancing in the heavens right now. Or she is a star up above looking down on us!
So very sad to hear of Jeannette’s illness and her passing. I worked with Jeannette at Zellers and also volunteered with her as a fellow usher at the Kootenay Ice games for 19 years. She was always upbeat, funny and a kind hearted sole. Condolences go to her children, siblings, extended family and her Zellers family members as well.
