The Mullins Family sadly announce that Jeanette Mullins, beloved mom and grandma, formerly of Gander, passed away on November 20, 2020.
Jeanette passed away at daughter Suzanne’s home in Coldwater, Ontario surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.
Jeanette, previously a hairdresser, owned and operated the Clip & Curl hair salon in Gander in the 1960’s and knew many people. She moved to Ontario with her family in 1969
Jeanette was born in Kings Point NFLD to Evelyn and Earnest Yates on New Years Day, January 1, 1931. Predeceased by parents, husband Charlie, son Paul, brothers Frank and Calvin, sisters Gwen and Eileen.
Remembered by children Suzanne, Craig and Peter (Linda), grandchildren Lily, Samantha, Cole and Abby, sister and brother in law Jean and David Rankin of Quebec, brother in law Dennis and sisters in law Lillian and Stella, and many nieces and nephews.
Jeanette loved family gatherings, birthdays, impromptu dinners and especially Christmas with Irish Coffee. She loved reminiscing about old times and her childhood with her siblings.
She was a master at knitting and loved to garden She remained fiercely independent until the last few months when illness gripped her
We are thankful her suffering was short but miss her terribly.
Cremation has taken place and family will be gathering at the Commonwealth Cemetery for a committal service on August 29, 2022 at 2 pm
