Jean Margaret Willis passed peacefully on Friday August 12, 2022 at Extendicare Cobourg in her 86th year. Jean was the beloved wife of the late Ivan John West (2011). Dear mother of Brenda Jean (Bill Devoe), Sharon Margaret (Terry Parker), Sandra Rose and Mark John (Lisa Price).
Devoted grandmother to Stephanie (Jeff), Amy (Blair), Rachel (Dylan), Rebecca (Stephen), Darren, Tanya, Arika, (Ryan), Chevy (Maddy), Mitchell, Samantha and Brooke (Jay). Great Grandma to Owen (Ashlea), Logan, Sophia, Rihanna, Zoey, Parker, Bonnie, Aurora, Emmet, Locklyn, Emma and Ambrose.
Jean was the youngest child born to Clarence Willis and Violet Brown. Cherished sister of Albert Willis and Elva West and sister-in-law Marie Willis. Predeceased by her siblings Ruth, Reginald and Eva.
The family of Jean would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to all the staff at Extendicare/Landmark for their excellent care during her time there and especially in Birch House for ensuring Jean’s comfort and care in the last year of decline due to Alzheimer’s.
Visitation will be held Monday August 22, 2022 at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East Cobourg, from 12pm – 2pm, with a memorial service following at 2pm. A family graveside interment will be held at Camborne United Church following the service. If desired donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society PKLHN or Camborne Cemetery.
