M. Jean Dow
1933-2022
M. Jean Dow of Hartland passed away on December 25, 2022 at
the Carleton Manor in Woodstock. She was born September 18, 1933 and
was the daughter of the late Linus and Thelma Crabbe. Besides her
parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wendell Dow; siblings,
Lyman Crabb, Royden Crabb, Doris Jurczak; brothers-in-law, Stanley
Crandlemire, Robert McIntosh and Malcolm Hallett.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Darlene (Doug) Cook of
Hartland, Carolyn (Mike )Walton of Hartland; grandchildren, Marcia
(Eric) Versloot, Scott (Michelle) Cook, Gregory (Meredith) Walton, Amy
(Philip) Brown; great grandchildren, Charlee Versloot, Noah Versloot,
Sawyer Cook, Emmett Cook, Kyle Walton, Daniel Walton, Julianna Walton,
Mason Brown, Janessa Brown; siblings, Geraldine Crandlemire, Juanita
Hallett, Edith Newman, Blair Crabbe, Kerry (Haldean) Palmer;
sister-in-law, Elaine Crabb; brother-in-law, Joe Jurczak; several
nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High
Street, Hartland, on Tuesday, December 27th from 1 to 2:15 p.m.
followed by the funeral at 2:30 p.m with Pastor Jacob Ebbett
officiating. The interment will be in the Lower Brighton Cemetery at a
later date. If so desired, donations can be made to the Lower Brighton
